A blaze that roared through a mobile home in Orcutt Monday morning left one person dead, authorities said.

No information on the identity of the victim was available Monday afternoon. The cause of death is still being investigated, authorities said.

Six engines responding to the blaze at 1600 E. Clark Ave. #12 found flames shooting through the roof, windows and doors of the mobile home, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, said Capt. Eli Iskow.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in minutes, preventing it from spreading to neighboring homes.
