A series of power outages left thousands of residents in Goleta in the dark over the weekend. The first one affected some 2,000 Southern California Edison customers from about 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Another outage on Sunday morning lasted from 2:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The cause was unknown as of press time Sunday night.
